It’s literally long enough!

Yay! It’s over 6000!! Actually, right now, it’s 6105!!! And that’s not even the end yet!! I still have at least another 2000 words to shove out of me and on paper!! I’m sad to be a day late though…Oh well!! I was close enough! Anyway, I have 7.5 hours left until me has to go to bed, since school is tomorrow, –sigh-. Anywayz, I’ll be writing the rest of the night away!! Or I’ll be studying…

Oh! Plan! I’ll just write for the next hour and a half(plenty of time) and at 4, I’ll stop and spend the rest of the night studying my ass off. And talking to friends. Mostly studying. Ok, it’s time for me to shut up and get back to writing. Chapter 28, here I come!

AGH!!

just tried emailing and many other ways to put it up...nothing working...hope I can think of something fast! Ok. Now I did. And it worked. FictionPress.com to the rescue! -downloaded everything needed onto there- sure, I'm gonna have to fix it and all later on, but for now, fictionpress will have to do. I'll try to at least finish 27 during the party, then I can stay up late and finish the book, if it's not yet finished, when I get home. yay!

Mah sisters graduation party is today. And I don't have time for writing at the moment. Instead, I shall send EVERYTHING to myself by pasting it onto a gmail email, and hope that I can get some time to write on my grandma's laptop...I have to set back mah goal to tomorrow. -sad-

YAAY! last night I wrote the climax. Or part of it. As you already know. Well, it's almost time for the end of the whole book!! just another 1000 words or so!! well...that's until the minimum...it'll probably be a few hundred or thousand more than the minimum though

26, and the CLIMAX is done!!

yaaay! I've been saying I'd get the climax done soon for ages, and finally, I did! It's only really about 1,500 words long, which is way less than I wanted, but added with a little random junk at the beginning, it made a complete chapter. Plus, there's at LEAST another 2,000, maybe 4,000 words worth of aftermath to write about. Including...crap...I almost said the end of the book...that woulda been bad, I guess...even though no one reads this...whateva!

Ugh...sick...

-sigh- I wrote very little today...mostly because I spent most of my afternoon in bed hoping I wouldn't throw up again. That or throwing up. -sad- anyway, now I feel good enough and I finished the book I was reading, so I'm gonna try to get the rest of 26 written. And maybe more. depends. Good thing is I'll be staying home tomorrow even if I feel better(and if mom makes me go, I can just tell them that I barfed and they'll send me home :D) Anyway, 4,000 or so words left, and 2 days...crap...hopefully once I fall asleep and wake up again, whenever that is, I'll be in a writing mood. a HUGE writing mood. A writing mood that means finishing the book, preferably.

1 day, 2 chapters!!

yaaay! You know how I had taken forever to finish 24? Well, not the same deal with 25. finished in about 2 hours! NOW the total word count is 56,546!!!!! And 25 isn't even the prologue, cuz I remembered that I wanted to add something else earlier!! What I got is pretty good, I'd say. YAAAY! now I have to go to bed though...-sigh- I will promise myself now that I want to at LEAST finish 26 tomorrow, and that the climax will be at least 2 chapters long! Unless I write a 4,000 word chapter for the climax...-shrugs- whateva

24 done! Word Count!

As it says above, 24 is now complete! I’m WAY behind, but I still have 4 days, and a chapter a night will have me done on time! I’m going to start working on 25 tonight…I have a hour and a half, about, hopefully I can finish most of it!!

The word count right now is 54,272!!! YAAY! only about 6,000 words left!!!

-sigh- Home at last!!

aah, I'm back home, at last, and ready to write the next four hours away!! First comes trying to rewrite what I had yesterday, and then comes finishing 24 and maybe 25!! yaaaaay!! I don't know how much longer I'm gonna make it until the climax though...It's gonna be soon, but not TOO soon, me thinks.

OMFG!!!! IT'S ALL GONE!!! All of chapter 24 just.....GOOONE!!! the damn document saved as an EMPTY thing, not even in the right FORMAT!! it's ALL gone!!!! ALL!!!! 1,500 words of work just GONE!! And I can't remember what I wrote!!!!! AAAAAAAARGHHHHH!! can I damn kill this stupid computer?!??!!?!?!?!?!?!!?!!?!?!?!!?! -gets an ax- as soon as I finish this book, it's going to friends so they can save it wherever so I don't have to loose ALL of it suddenly and randomly.

Suffering for the Arts...At least, I count creative writing as an art!

Ah, I'm suffering for my art, as in, I'm going to be exhausted and I should probably have started studying a while ago for finals, but at least I'm getting a lot of my book done! Staying up late may not always be good, but I'm almost done with ch 24!! I'm going to try to finish it NOW, and then I'll finish at least a chapter tomorrow, though if I get to the climax, which I think I will be getting to in 25 or 26, I may want to finish it. I'll probably make the climax really really detailed, I mean, I need another 8000 words at LEAST! Or maybe I'll add another chapter or two of fluff after the climax? Or maybe I'll take a few chapters for after the climax! yaay! I think I'll get it!! Now I'll shut up and get to writing a few more sentences before my mom makes me go to bed...-sigh-

23, and goal complete!!

YAAAY!! I wrote ch. 23 to be over 3,000 words!! That's way more than I needed, but now the book is at 52,070 words!!! YAAAAY!! I'm SO close to getting it done!! and I'm in a writing mood right now!!!! poop...it's almost 3...I have to pause on my writing so I can do hw...

Like they told me a time...

-sigh- I missed the parade, but I COULD have gotten up earlier, if anyone in the family had bothered to tell me what time the parade was at. but nope. my family is WAY to smart to tell me anything. Anyway, it's kinda good, since I have way more time to annotate and write...ugh...I have to annotate. Remind me to NEVER let them put my book on an English curriculum, please. I don't want kids hating my book.

Goals changed a bit, sortakinda....

I did what I said I'd do...I don't have a certain # of chappies I want to finish anymore, I just want to get:

May 25, 50,000 words
May 30, 60,000 words

and then that's basically it. anything I write after that will just be for adding words to it to make it so I can edit it without worrying about deleting words and making it too small.

Busy Busy Busy

I may end up needing to back up my goals again...but I'm not going to do that until I have to go to bed, in about 8 or so hours. Until then, I also have a parade to go to and book to annotate...but I'll try to finish ch 23 now, annotate, write ch 24, finish annotating, write ch 25...anyway, I'm WAY close to my goal, and if I make 23 really long, I think I may be done by ch 27 or even earlier!! THAT may even be pushing it!! I'm thinking of just deleting the amount of chapters I want to get done, and just say I want 50000 by today, and 60000 by next Saturday...Maybe I'll spend next month, after the finals and between fanfic writing, editing it, and then once that's over I'll send it off to a REAL agent. I don't have the cash to get it professionally edited, so I hope I'm a good editor...lol.

Yay!! 22 is now done, finally!! There are a total of(not including the ch #'s and word prologue) 48,803. Yay! If I write the other chapter to be almost 3000 words, and continue like that, maybe I'll be able to make it work? Or maybe I can go back now and add details into what I just wrote...I'll do that!!

I did it again. I was GOING to work on it, but I found an excuse not to...This time, it was that I was hot and I went to the pool then slept over at my friends house...and I still ended up writing over 1000 words at her house alone!! Now I'm home, and it's not too hot, too cold, or too anything(except too foodless...-hungry), so I am going to finish the last 500 or so words of 22 and NOW I have to finish ch.s 23 and 24 tonight too...did I mention that it's almost 8, and I have plans for tomorrow?? lol...I'll be waay tired when I'm doing hw tomorrow too, but oh well...I hope I can finish the novel on time still!! If I don't make it to 60,000 though, it'll still be publishable, just as a novella...(adult novel less than 60,000 words). Maybe I'll be able to finish the novel by...next week, hopefully, since it's my goal. CRAP! I JUST CHECKED THE DATE!! I HAVE TO WRITE CH. 25 BY TOMORROW TOO!! Oh well, I'll be able to make my word goal for tomorrow easily!!

Another busy day...

My sister graduated today, I did homework, wasted time, and went on blogtv to watch Kaleb Nation, The Twilight Guy, Either way, it's 30 minutes to bed, and I still haven't done most of my homework...AKA, a population graph, worksheet, and finishing a whole book. dammit!! Me has to hurry, probably stay up an hour late, and I STILL won't have an extra day to write!!! Good thing--I don't have plans for the weekend, except memorial day, so I'll write 2 a day!!! yaaaay!!! bye!!

Aww...no boom! but 21 is done! (PLUS! word count now!)

holaaa! I finished the chapter, and it's a whole 500 more than the minimum word count per chapter. The total word count is 46,709, and it takes up 61 word doc pages. Yaaay!

AGH!

Ugh...my mom wouldn't let me go to my friends concert, because she didn't want to get up because Id0l was on. -rolls eyes- And my friend was here, then I got side-tracked by something else related to publishing...-groans-. I'm gonna stop giving excuses and try to fit about 500 words in before 10:30. I may as well stay up 30 minutes late...maybe I'll have a brain boom and end up staying up until 11!! Maybe I shouldn't do that...whateva! -works-

I've become side tracked, and hw took way too long. I plan on watching Idol momentarily, helping a friend with homework, writing whenever I can, and going to a band concert! I think I'll enjoy the concert, and I'll have stuff for before it and during rides, ect, to do,(try to catch up on annotations). I would be doing that now, but I wanted to write!! It'll take me forever, but I'm gonna make myself do less thorough annotations than I'm doing now...one, two, or three per page, probably...now me must go, cuz my friend is here!!

Wish I were home...

If I went home now(I'm at my grandma's) I would have just about 4 hours to write before going to a concert...but I have to annotate the rest of a book, so that actually means that I have probably only 2 or 3 hours. Anyway, I'll have enough time to finish 21, and at least START 22. If I could finish it, I'd be only a day or so away from getting to the amazingness that is 50,000 words!! I really hope I can get 60,000 done kinda soon-ish, like, within the next 5 days or so, and I hope to get the whole book done(hopefully at least 65,000 words total) by the end of this month, so that's 11 days!! yaaaaay!! before I finish my freshman year, I could have a book done! And, hopefully, I could probably get an agent or something by the end of August or September! Shoot...I have to have my mom majorly edit my book, and then a friend or two, plus me doing it like, 3 times...make that by the end of this year I'll hope to get an agent. lol. I'll start looking for an agent as soon as the editing is done...I'm gonna shut up and tell my grandma I want to walk home now...bye!!

Make that a LOT late...

It's an hour and a half since I was supposed to go to sleep. I finished ch. 2o, which was barely done when 10 hit, and I got half of 21 done. Damn, I started tearing up...-sad- I'm back to writing sad stuff for a while...I'm at 44,132 words, but that's not including chapter 21 so far. total, it's at 45,141, or something like that. Talk to ya tomorrow, when I hopefully finish 21 and get to 22!! OH! ANOTHER POINT!! I made my word and chapter goal, for ch. 20 and 40,000 words!! yaay!! And it's a day early! yaaay! I bet I'll finish it before Finals!!!

I stay up a little late yet again...

again, to finish a chapter, I'm staying up late. I swear, I haven't gotten a full night of sleep in forever...but you know what? I love writing this story, so I'm totally okay with it!! lol...anyway, I'm getting right up to the point I want to get to, that a certain follower (coughcough, you know who you are) knows about. Wait, now I finished the chapter...it cuts right in the middle!! I'm gonna start chapter 21 right now, to get this part out.

wow...I'd be smart if I told you what the book is about...

My book is about a goth girl who's been abused for 9 years, since her mom died when she was 7. It starts with her dad being caught, and her going to live with her grandma, who tried to make her a preppy, pink-loving, good girl. When she meets a goth friend, she's allowed to dress however she wants, but then, after meeting a guy who she can't help talking to, things start to change, again...

I forgot to tell you to the word count for Prologue to this chapter(aka, 19). it's 41,915, if you don't count the chapter numbers and the word 'Prologue,' like I"m not doing. With them all, it's 41,935. It's less than a hundred away from be a whole 4,000 more than the plan!!(it WOULD be at 38,000 right now if I didn't write at least a little more for all chapters) AAANNNND, chapter 20 is THE CHAPTER!! THEEEEE CHAPTER!!!! I can't tell you what happens in THEEEEEE CHAPTER, but it's a big turning point!! I can't wait!!!! Oooh, and a lot of people at my school want to read it...I wish I could give them the first chapter or something....but that'd be a LOT of paper, and me no likey wastey papery. Anywayz, since it's morning, my grandma's bugging me to go downstairs and get ready for school(I had like, 5 minutes...sheesh...she thinks I take a half hour for the simplest things...I'm not a prep!)

Staying up late, though it makes morning hell, is worth it.

Long title...and it basically says all that I was gonna say here...just by staying up an extra hour, which I do by laying down in bed not sleeping anyway, I finished 19!! I'm so happy! If I can make myself write a chapter or two a night, like I've been doing, I'll be done with this story in no time! (plus, finally, my stories about to get to a really good part, me thinks!! I'll probably edit half of it out...which would mean adding back in details...-sad-...I hope I can get it long enough...whateva!!

19's almost there!!

I can NOT believe that in just about an hour, I wrote 1,146 words!! No, in less than an hour!! I SHOULD be going to sleep, but I just had a brain boom(if you don't know what it is, it's my version of Jimmy Neutrons brain blast, except mine makes me type and write fast and have good ideas!! yay for brain booms!!!)

18(happened yesterday)

I forgot to post yesterday that I finished ch. 18!!! It's about 40,000 words now, only 200 words away, and I already got that bit in ch. 19 if you count that!! My sister got bored, so I gave her pro-18 to edit, and she's being such a critic! Agh! Whatever though, I mean, I'm gonna take this, look it over, and stuff, and make sure it's still right...she's just commenting on things anyway. I'd rather have her say something then leave it be!! Anyway, I hung out with her friend, now mine, all day at the Library, and I may be doing that most of the day tomorrow too, depending on lots of things, like how I feel...basically, I probably WILL make my goal, I just donno if I'll have to double-time on the 20th. I hope not!! Maybe if I finish 19 today, and 20 tomorrow, I can get everything ahead by a day! yaay! (since I have like, 3 minutes, probably not...lol...)

17!!

Yay!! I actually made myself get up and write a chapter after waaay too much time felting and doing other stuffs!!! I finished 17, which as already almost done, and then I started answering Q's on yahooanswers for not reason...I had an excuse to go on though!! I needed help with a scene!!!

16, rewriting, and new goals, sigh.

yaay! finally, after days of holding it off, I completed chapter 16. AND, I had a friend of mine read part of the first chapter, and she pointed out two small things in it, that ended up helping me write 2 full new paragraphs to add detail and other scattered sentences in the area!! All together, I'm over 35,000 now!! yaay!! On the other hand, I'm going to hang out with that friend, and without a laptop to write on, I'm pretty much making myself reset the goals...-sigh- So, here are the new goals:

40,000 words and ch. 2o by May 20th
50,000 words and ch. 25 by May 25th
60,000 words and as many chapters as needed by May 30th
If I can make myself write them fast enough to get the goal I'm working on now done before the 20th, I may reset them, or I'll just finish everything early :D. probably the second :D

Dang fun/cool things!!

Agh! I keep getting side tracked!! I still haven't finished 16, and tomorrow my goal was to finish everything!! -sigh-...At least today is Friday!! crap...I'm gonna be busy most of Saturday...AGH! dang cool/fun things!!!! :D I guess I'm gonna change my goal...but I'll tell you guys once I know if I can keep those new goals...

I'm VERY disappointed with myself. I haven't been writing in a while...over the last three days or so, I've only written around 700 words!! Today will be different though...I'm working on finishing 16. Unless I can finish 17 today as well, and then 18 and 19 tomorrow, and 20 the next day, I won't be able to make my goal...chapter wise. Word wise, I'll be fine if I do 2 longer chapters and 1 normal one...or just 4 normal ones...Whatever, me is going to write now!!

Tired....Oh-So-Tired

Me es soooo tired...but I'm gonna try to write the chapter tonight anyway....first, though, is a shower to wake me up!!!

Wow...He's Very Supportive...(not)

I told my ex today at the end of school while we were chatting that I was writing a book. When I told him I already know some literary agents I hope will help me, he was like, 'You got literary AGENTS?' and then later on he was like, 'good luck wiht that' in that unsupportive, joking, way. Pshaw...when I'm famous(or at least have cash from the book) I'll mention on something something like, 'I TOLD YOU MATT!!!' just cuz I can :D

(And in REAL book news, I have little hw, so after I finish it all, I'll be starting the next chapter. Hopefully I'll be able to write 2 chapters tonight.)

yaaay! I got 2 followers!! Normal bloggers would be like, 'agh! why is no one following me!' or something, but I didn't expect even 1, so this is good!!! And, it's moooorning...blah. I hate mornings. They're boring and crap. On the good side, everyone is gonna see my hair for the first time, discluding 2 of my best friends. Hm...it says discluding isn't a word, and it wants me to change it to something like, 'undiscerning' well, isn't that a double negative?? So it's really saying....'cerning' or whatever?? these people make no sense to me...Anyway, I've got no more time this morning, so I can finish getting ready...see ya later peeps!!

I stayed up 15 minutes late so I could finish writing chapter 15 and put up this. I'm at 33,016. Tomorrow, I'm going to try to write chapter 16, and start chapter 17 if I have time. Hopefully I do!!

Song and Title Ideas For The Book

Hey! I was just listening to a song, and realized that it's the perfect song for part of my book!! It's called 'Everything' by Lifehouse. Another song I realized that was perfect was 'By Your Side' by Tokio Hotel. Those are two of many, that I'll probably find later. I know that if I choose to make a list of related songs, 'Everything' will be on it.

About the Title part, I wanted to tell you guys that I already had an idea, but I may put up a pole, in case I think of others that are good. The current one is Watching Over Me.

Word Goal 1 Completed!

Hey! I just wrote chapter 14, and still need to write chapter 15, but I'm glad to announce...

I'm at 30,800 words!! Yaaay!! My next chapter I hope to make be long enough to bring it to about 33,000 words, so I may end up being totally off with chapter and word goals, and have 60,000 done by chapter 25, or something like that!! Next time you'll hear from me will probably be tonight, again, because I still have 3 hours to write!

Literary Agent Hype!

Even though I haven't even written half the book, I'm still excited about it, and I'm searching for literary agents that I think may be interested in it. I've found a whole agency that I think one or two agents may like it, and I found another separate area that would hopefully like it and accept it. Kaleb Nation gave a site to people on BlogTV that want literary agents. When I'm done with the book(hopefully by the end of the month or next month) I'll probably send it off to them and others. (Maybe someone in Little Brown, Harper Collins, or another one of my favorite authors' publishers!) This is a busy school week, that I'm starting tomorrow, but I hope I'll have time to keep my set goals, and figure out how long my book will be!!

My Book Goals!

Hey guys!! It's Katie,(duh)

I'm going to tell you guys my goals here, so you know them, and because I'm bored :D.

By chapter 15, I want to have 30,000 or more words, and I hope to get that done by today or tomorrow.

On chapter 20, I want 40,000 or more words, and I hope to get that done by May 16th.

On chapter 25, I want 50,000 or more words, and I hope to get that done by May 21st.

In the rest of the chapters, I hope to make it to 60,000, preferably 85,000, words, and I hope to finish my book all together by the end of June, at the least, and preferably, the end of May.

Any time I reach a goal, I will blog about it, and tell you word count, and possibly what's happening that isn't related to the book, like what ideas I have, or if I got a lot of fanfiction writing done. If I miss a goal, I'll blog about it, what kept me, and adjust my goals to make the others more reachable.

Hey!

I'm Katie, and I aspire to be an author. It's the one thing I'm dying to be, more than anything. This blog is probably going to be ignored be all, but just in case it's not, I'm going to explain this all.

I used to hate reading, let alone writing, all together, until I read a book in early 7th grade, when I was twelve years old. This book alone took me ages, and after I finished it, I started reading other books, by random authors, no real series or genre. Later that year, I fell in love with a series, and then another, and, as time passed by, I found a love for writing, too. My first story was written grammatically boring, and much too short. In August of 2007, I read the Twilight books, and fell in love. These books brought me much further into the writing world. I write fanfictions on fanfiction.net, and have been doing so for over a year. These helped me, because I was able to see how other people felt about my ideas, and was able to look back at them all, and see, by amount of reviews and by my own taste, how my writing style has changed, and what I wanted to work on to make me a better author.

I started to have ideas about real books that I could actually write when I was 13, and have no idea when I had the first idea, but I never tried to write one until I turned 14. When I chose my idea, I had low hopes for myself. In my mind, I had no hope of writing a detailed, well written, book, I didn't think I could keep myself interested in my own novel, and thought I'd give up on it before I reached 20,000 words. At this point, my hopefully-to-be-novel is 28,116 words long, and 13 chapters long. Each chapter I wrote got a minimum amount of words, that I stuck to and went over, of 2,000 words each.

This blog is where I'm going to post how my books going, how my search for a literary agent is going, once I start it, and then, if I get a literary agent, my publishing process. My goal for this blog is, for the moment, to write an entry or two a week, but if nothing big happens, I won't usually blog. This blog, because of it's length, is done.
